The Ministry of Evangelism

Ephesians 4:11-12 (KJV) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the Ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

 

What is an Evangelist? The definition is basically "the name given to the New Testament heralds of salvation through Christ who are not apostles". 

 

New Perspective Ministries, a ministry under the banner of The ARK at Boulder Ridge, LLC, is an Evangelical ministry formed in 2005 in Houston, TX. Proclaiming the Good News, aka the Gospel has been my calling even before Holy Spirit gave me the name of His Ministry. While attending Seminary, Holy Spirit impressed upon me with a simple question, 'If people actually knew WHO God was, why would they NOT want to serve HIM?' That was when I knew that for people to have exposure to the TRUTH of God's Word, and His love for us, they may need to see HIM from a New Perspective. This 'New Perspective' approach involves interpreting and teaching Scripture in a way that emphasizes God's love, grace, and mercy, and encourages personal relationship with Him. How do we approach this? We keep religious practices out of our intent to understand what God is telling us in His Word AND through personal interaction with the Holy Spirit.

 

As part of the five-fold Ministry described in Ephesians 4, NPM has the privilege of direct Apostolic and Pastoral influences. This Ministry stands out with its unwavering focus on relationships with Father God, through His son Jesus Christ, via the Holy Spirit. This relationship is not just encouraged, but it is the heart of our Ministry, valued over religious practices. We stress understanding what Scripture means over merely knowing what Scripture says. We believe in a unique personal connection with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Understanding the Bible's meaning, not just its words, is a vital component of our spiritual growth. We do expository study into Scripture to uncover its true significance, using various Bible versions, primarily the original King James and the Amplified Classic editions. We also believe it's essential to understand the meaning of God's Word from the original translations of Hebrew (OT) and Greek (NT).

At the ARK at Boulder Ridge and New Perspective Ministries, we believe that the heart of God is best understood through Scripture and personal relationships, not through rigid religious practices.
